Saturday's show results
Posted on May 14, 2012 - 7:25am CST
I lost track of all the BOV/BOSV but I do remember the big ones.In Show 1, Kim's Greed took BOS. In Show 2, Kim's Chiyo took BOS. I am retiring Chiyo to breeding because she has attitude problems and doesn't like to be handled or judged. I got her registered at the show, and we're sending off for her Grand Champion paperwork and she's done!
I am excited about her first kept daughter, Sakura who is the spitting image of her. I just hope she doesn't inherit the attitude!
I sold all that I had for sale this weekend, but if you're going to Columbia, TN next Saturday I may be bringing some travel carriers to sell.

Yesterday was a fantastic show in Lawrenceburg, TN!
Show 1:
Kim's Ren (tort SR doe) got 1st of 4 and got BOV and a leg.
Kim's Nishikado (tort JR buck) got 1st of 4 and good remarks.
Kim's Chiyo (broken SR doe) got 1st and went on to get BOSV and BOS
Kim's Sakura (broken JR doe) got 1st of 3 and got excellent remarks for her first show.Show 2:
K&V's Bronco (blue tort SR buck) got 1st out of 11 and earned a leg! He also got BOV.
Kim's Nishikado again got 1st and excellent praises, just needs to grow up a bit.
Kim's Greed (broken tort SR Buck) got 1st out of 6 or 7 bucks, earning BOSV and later BOS! His first senior showing!
Kim's Chiyo (broken SR doe) got BOV and BOB!!
Kim's Sakura got first in the broken JR doe classes and high praises. So I earned quite a few legs on everyone at this show and am very excited to see my juniors that are now 3rd and 4th generation getting such high praises.
I did update the For Sale page today with some pictures. I even have some babies up there that would make great pets or breeding stock.
Next show is Lenoir City, TN on May 12th! Can't wait!
a few updates
Posted on April 2, 2012 - 11:58am CST
I'm at home sick today so I decided to get caught up on Breeders Directory submissions. I was nearly a month behind on those, and also added some people to use the Pedigree Creator.Been hard at work trying to find a show room for the Rocket City Rabbit Club. Everything has been booked so far, or only has openings that conflict with other local shows. So we're very much trying to avoid that.
I have several baby Hollands up and coming, a few show prospects that I can't wait to get on the table. I am hoping a few juniors make weight for the show in a couple of weeks. I should also have some babies weaned for pets, but I do have a very long waiting list. That doesn't mean when I send out emails in order that the wait will be long if you sign up now. I am sure some will have changed their minds (I'm always happy to find that out BEFORE they buy a bunny) or found something elsewhere, that's okay too.
My husband (who has coded the Pedigree creator and Color Genetics Calculator) has taken on a new project that we're very excited about. We have taken to calling it Show Plus (or Show+) and it will be Show Secretary software. This is something we hope to develop to sell eventually since there aren't too many options on the market, and those that are are pretty pricy. So we'll post news of that as it comes available.
Unexpected downtime
Posted on March 20, 2012 - 8:50am CST
So if anyone tried to visit the site in the last 3 days, they would get this annoying picture of this pretty lady wanting to do something with taxes. What happened was, I didn't get the automatically generated email to remind me to renew my domain (and the hosting company had merged with someone else, so sites were different) so I had to wait to hear back from a friend on where to go to get renewed. During that time I had no email, not sure if stuff bounced or what, but it's all 100% back up online as of lastnight.I don't have any babies for sale right now, but there are some that'll be weaned in several weeks. I do have a long waiting list for babies and juniors. I will however be listing some senior breeding stock for sale soon, after I decide who to let go, there are just some seniors I don't need anymore since I have all kinds of babies out of them.
Next show is Lawrenceburg, TN on April 14th.
Also several friends and I have developed a new All Breed rabbit club, based here in Huntsville, Alabama called Rocket City Rabbit Club. (Find us on facebook.) Still in the early stages and are looking for a building to rent, but hope to be hosting a full sized show this fall sometime!
Sale pages updated

I updated the for sale pages and added some new baby Holland Lops as well as some from my first litter of Dutch. More babies are coming, I wouldn't say nest boxes are full, but I have a few more litters with 2-3 each in them. I'm looking forward to the Dalton, GA show (if I get to go) and the Muscle Shoals, AL show in the coming weeks.
A few more updates
Posted on December 31, 2011 - 3:40pm CST
I finally got caught up on Breeders Directory submissions. I added about 30 today. I also added a few more people access to the Pedigree Creator, and updated the For Sale Page, sadly with a big fat "nothing at this time." My does have not been cooperating as far as breeding. Some have faked pregnancies but most aren't taking. I have litters due next week, so keep your fingers crossed. The Southern Holland Lop Society is planning it's first spring Specialty show. It will be held in conjunction with The Rabbit Producers of Alabama March 10th show. Sanctions were applied for today and awards ordered, so if you can, be sure to enter.
Nothing else to note, but I hope everyone has a Happy New Year!
update for the lack of recent updates
Posted on December 12, 2011 - 9:00am CST
Just a quick note/apology for not updating the site in a couple of months. I've been pretty busy and had some computer issues which seem to be solved for the moment. Work has been keeping me there from the early morning into the early evening, and on the weekend I'm usually just too tired or lazy to do any updates as of late. This should change in a few weeks.I have nothing for sale at the moment, a few upcoming litters but nothing for certain, so just shoot me an email if you are looking for something in particular.
I had a wonderful last show in Lawrenceburg, TN on December 3rd. This was the All Southern Grand Final show. I didn't do much in the first show, but in show 2 I took BOB out of about 80 Hollands with Kim's Chiyo, a third generation home-bred bunny that I'm very excited about. This was her first senior showing/leg win. I brought her home and bred her immediately so I'm hoping for super nice babies.
I also recently added 16 new cages to the barn, which in all honesty if I don't want to get too tightly packed in and overwhelmed, is my limit for my space. I ended up buying a pair of Dutch bunnies (I used to raise the breed and have always loved them) at the last show, so this will just be a pair to toy around with and see what happens. I don't plan on getting into them very large, but everyone just sort of gives me that "yeah right" look when they reply to me. Honestly!
Anyway, look forward to more updates soon. This goes to the Breeders Directory also.... everyone have a great December and Happy Holidays!

The Bedding Article has been added. If you got heavy ammonia problems, you'll want to read up on it to see what I did for my own troubles. Includes pictures of products so you know what to look for.
